Adams House Supportive Housing

Adams House is a supportive housing program that provides rent-subsidized accommodation and support for 20 men and 6 women living with mental health challenges. Each tenant has his or her own bedroom and shares a bathroom and kitchenette with two or three other tenants. There is also a large common area with a living room, kitchen and dining room on the main floor.

Services Offered

Cota provides on-site support during the day, seven days per week. Security is on-site all other hours. In partnership with Second Harvest, we are able to provide a daily meal (except Fridays), however, all tenants are expected to be able to look after all other meals. Our staff work collaboratively with tenants, their families, and other clinicians to assist tenants to:

  •     Develop an individual safety plan
  •     Maintain housing stability and support a healthy housing environment
  •     Acquire and maintain the skills necessary for daily living
  •     Participate in health promotion and community development activities such as tenant meetings, educational events and social recreation
  •     Resolve conflicts
  •     Link to services and support
  •     Achieve/maintain optimum health and wellness
  •     Pursue personal recovery
  •     Complete pod chores
  •     Be aware of their housing rights and responsibilities
