JOAN POWELL - Coordinated Care Plan Approach to Recovery [intro music] [intertitle 1: On World Mental Health Day] [intertitle 2: Joan Powell shares her inspiring story] [intertitle 3: a coordinated care plan approach to recovery] >> JOAN: they arranged that, okay everbody's care is coming - all the things taht deal with Joan is coming together now. We're going to all have the same mind, and that mind is to get her well! So now everybody can give uh an idea. But everyone's going to come to a conclusion. This is what we are going to do to make sure she takes these healthy steps and takes them right. [music] So. I don't know who thought about that, but that should be applied to everyone. Everyone should have their, all the health people together, nurses, dieticians, everyone. So everyone is on the same page. I was so blown away I didn't know what to do. So my heart, my soul goes out to the whole Cota organization one hundred percent. I have to have Cota in my life. Because you are the only ones that extended out a hand. And now you are still holding my hand, through this. You haven't said, well a year's up. She's got to go, okay next. No. You said I am going to make sure - you're there to the finish and I love it. I had someone who was assigned to look after and better my life. So that Cota can re-introduce me back into society to do something better. So I was so glad about that meeting and now I have full knowledge of my own body. And I can make my own decisions. If I take that right energy, that drive that you get when you're high. If I can take that same drive and do something positive, people like myself, there's no limits. [outro music] [intertitle 5: #worldmentalhealthday] [intertitle 6: follow us, three social icons]
