Short-Term Accommodations with Supports

Cota operates two (2) Safe Beds at our Bailey House location in Parkdale. This service offers free, safe, temporary accommodation (up to six months) with meals (three per day) and access to on-site Cota supports for adult men (16+ years) living with serious mental health challenges experiencing homelessness. Clients of this service have their own bedroom, but share a bathroom and communal kitchen with other tenants of the building.

All referrals come from the City of Toronto, Streets to Homes unit: Street Outreach Program officer.

Cota’s Short-Term Residential Beds Program provides 13 free, safe, temporary accommodation (up to 30 days) beds, meals (three per day) and 24/7 on-site Cota supports for adults (16+ years) living with a serious mental illness who are experiencing a situational crisis resulting in homelessness, are in need of temporary accommodation and who are assessed as being able to be safely supported within the program. Nine (9) of the beds are reserved for individuals involved with, or, at significant risk of involvement with the justice system.
